There is nothing better than visiting your favorite antique store to find that little special something to add character to your space. The Jacksonville, Florida area has a great selection of interesting antique stores to explore and mine for inspiration. I have a couple of personal favorites and I thought it would be fun to put together a post to share them with everyone.
First up is a cozy store with quirky charm called 'Rusted'. Located in the trendy San Marco area on the south bank of the St John's river across from downtown Jacksonville. This store makes up for it's small floor size with the quality and distinctiveness of the available pieces. I picked up some colorful antique books, an antique glass bottle, as well as a wooden brick mold that I repurposed into an organizer to separate some table top space with interesting visual appeal. I also just had to buy a vintage store front "R" that I painted red and hung by our front door. This store is great to find unique decorating items and a go to for me when I am looking for that special something to finish off the space.
When you are really in the mood to browse, head over to my next favorite, 'Eco Relics.' It is a 50,000 square foot warehouse located in a neat old brick building that once housed a grain cellar. They specialize in salvage and reclaimed materials and even create their own custom woodwork. You can find anything from old salvaged doors, windows, to light fixtures and tiles. I love to get lost in this place and just browse and browse through all the cool merchandise.
There are several other antique stores in the Jacksonville area that are amazing, but the above two have truly become my two favorites. I look forward to browsing their stores any chance I get.
