A Warm and Welcoming Entryway all Decked out for Christmas
It's December! Does anyone else feel like this year just flew by?! I sure do, but it certainly hasn't been a dull year. I've been happily doing project after project in our little home and sharing the process with you all. I hope that you've enjoyed following me along, I sure have enjoyed getting to know you all! It always feels amazing to find such a supportive group to share and explore home decor projects and ideas with, so THANK YOU!
I want to start off this Christmas season by welcoming you into my front porch and entryway. As you know, this little area has undergone quite the transformation. In case you missed it, this is how my the entryway used to look last Christmas:
And this is how the entryway looks after it's mini makeover earlier this year:
Pretty crazy how much a space can change after just one year huh?! I've always wanted to change this little space and was so happy when I finally did. It definitely helps sets the tone for the rest of the house and the direction that we want to take it.
This Christmas season, I challenged myself that I would try to use all of my existing Christmas decor with minimally spending on new decorations. Well, once I saw these white ceramic houses at the Target dollar spot, I just knew that they had to be the new decor that I would invest in this year... and you can't beat the three dollar price tag per house!
I envisioned a little white Christmas village on the entry way table and they were absolutely perfect. I added the pine cones that I spray painted last year with silver and copper spray paint to give the little village a little sparkle. It just looks magical at night when the flickering candle inside the houses are lit up and the light reflects off the silver and copper off the pine cones.
Below the table, I added these two silver reindeer that I also DIY'd last Christmas season. I think they add the perfect little touch of whimsy and my little one just loves to shake their bell collar.
Now let's go outside for bit. I used the wreath and two tear drop wreaths that I found at Home Depot last year. I flanked our garage with the two tear drop wreaths and added the big wreath in front of the window.
For our front door, I wanted to get a little creative and decided to DIY my wreath this year. I used some of my leftover existing pine cones and ribbon that I had left over from last year to create this little wreath. Check out my tutorial here. I absolutely love how it turned out and how it looks against the door.
I then flanked the front door with two poinsettias because you just can never have too many during Christmas!
And that's it you guys! That is my entryway for this Christmas season. I hope that you enjoyed this post and it helps get you in the Christmas spirit! :)
Happy Decorating!
