Our outdoor oasis gets a makeover!

I love the spring time in Florida because it's not too cold but also not too warm and humid to hang out outside.  One of my favorite things to do around this time is to spend time out in our lanai area, whether it be working or just hanging out. I just love being able to open the doors and windows and let the fresh air flow through the house. Our lanai is screened in so when we have the doors open it feels like this is just another room in the house.

I recently gave this area a little spring update and rearranged the furniture to make it more comfortable and open to the rest of the house.  In case you missed the previous lanai reveal, check it out here and make sure to subscribe below so you don't miss out again!

I decided to completely switch around the furniture in this area and I am so glad I did! By switching the outdoor dining area with the sitting area, the space looks so much bigger now! I am amazed at how much bigger it feels that I was actually kicking myself about not trying this before! I just love how big and open it feels and when we keep the sliding door open it makes the house feel that much bigger as well.

I decorated with a lot of greenery in this space. It helps bring in some nature into the space and I just love the pop of color the plants provide against the beige walls. This is also the best place to keep our house plants since this room gets tons of sunlight throughout the day.

What do you guys think? I hope you enjoyed this post. Leave me a comment below!

Ever since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with interior decorating and using my hands to create beautiful things to incorporate in my space.

I believe that making your house a home shouldn’t be a difficult or expensive but exciting and most of all fun! It isn’t about the size or location of your home but about being able to create a space that is yours to fit your budget without sacrificing style.

Having recently purchased our first home, we’ve been busy creating a space that is ours as we blend my and my husband’s styles together. Explore the site to see what we have accomplished!
