Simple Stunning ways to add Fall to your Home

**This post may contain affiliate links, please read my full disclosure here.**

As I start planning my home decor updates for the fall season, I can't help but scour Pinterest for inspiration.  I don't like spending a lot of money on seasonal decor because I always tend to get bored with it easily, so I like to focus on either pieces that I can reuse throughout the seasons, cheaper decorations, and/or DIY's to satisfy my decorating addiction :)

If you wan't to see how I updated my home for the summer, check out my post where I show you how to add colorful touches throughout your home.

Take a look at some of the ways that I plan on updating my home this fall...without breaking the bank of course!

Add a Creative Wreath

One of my favorite ways to update my home as the seasons change is by updating the wreath on my front door. Check out my Spring wreath that I DIY'd! It's such an easy, simple way to add color and style to your home, giving visitors and passerby's a little taste of what's inside.

This season, I am attracted to a different take on wreath's. I plan n DIY'ing mine this season and these choices are perfect for a small, fun project that I can adapt for my own home.

Stylish Throws

The fall season means that colder weather is near. I like to add some pretty throws to my home decor so that they are ready to be used should anyone want them. It is an easy way to add texture and experiment with color and pattern without the commitment of painting walls. How cute are these? Whether they are draped over a chair or layered on a bed, a throw is a great way to add that special extra touch to finish off a room.

Decorative Pillows

A super easy way to update your home decor as the seasons change is by updating your decorative throw pillows. But if you aren't careful, it can get really expensive...quick! An affordable way to accomplish this is by only investing in pillow covers, allowing you to use your own pillow inserts. This is nice on your wallet but also on your on your storage. Storing pillow covers is a lot smaller than storing a bunch of bulky pillows!

Get your Craft On

If you need inspiration on some Fall crafts head on over to my Pinterest where you will find a multitude of ideas to get your craft on. This is one of my favorite ways to decorate for seasonal decor because not only do you get to be creative but also adapt the ideas to your own style and decor. Check out some of my favorite DIY's below:

Don't Forget to use Plants

I absolutely love using plants to decorate around my home. It is a super easy way to bring life and color to your decor and even better, you can style them to fit your decor. If you aren't a fan of having plants inside the house or don't have a green thumb, you can always try to use succulents or faux flowers. Read my post on my tricks of how to make faux flowers look real! The important thing about decorating with plants is that the vessel that you use is just as important as the plants themselves! Get creative and remember to shop your home first!

And that's it my friends! Those are my tips for updating your home for the fall season. I hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful. Leave me a comment below and let me know your favorite way to decorate your home for fall!
