The Best Products for Maintaining a Clean and Happy Home
This week I've rounded up my favorite cleaning products to help you create a clean and happy home. Cleaning doesn't have to be a dreaded event, it can be quick and painless if you keep up with it. I've gathered my top favorite devices and products to help you maintain your home in tip top shape so that you can get back to enjoying your life.

FLOORS
Ever since having my little one, I've been trying different ways to tackle cleaning our tile floors. With him crawling and playing on the surface, I wanted to make sure that I used something that was gentle enough for him but strong enough to clean our floors. I think I've finally found the answer to cleaning our floors without using any cleaning products.
I first start by vacuuming the entire space with my new Shark vacuum. It was the most affordable yet effective vacuum I've ever had. And I had a Dyson before this one! (If it's just a small area that I need to tackle, I'll sometimes use a broom). I then simply use a steamer to mop the floors. I've found that by just using water and steam our tile floors get squeaky clean and I get the piece of mind that no chemicals are being used on the surface my little one plays on.
To help me maintain the floor clean and in between cleanings, I like to use a small handheld vacuum to pick up small messes, especially after my little one's meals! I keep one in my pantry so it's always ready whenever I need it!
KITCHEN
I have a love/hate relationship with cleaning the kitchen. It can get quite messy, VERY fast and can take forever to clean up. So I make sure that I maintain my kitchen in between deep cleanings.
One of my best finds of 2017 is e-cloths. They are cleaning cloths that only require water. Sounds too good to be true, right? That's what I thought until I actually tried some for myself and I'm here to tell you they are absolutely worth it! They have completely replaced paper towels in our home and after I'm done using all our cleaning products, I won't restock. All I need are e-cloths, they work even on the toughest of jobs. Completely worth every cent!
If there is any cleaning product that I will continue to use, it's Mrs. Meyers Vinegar Gel cleaner. This stuff is amazing AND smells delicious! I used it just about anywhere in my home for extra messy areas.
Another Mrs. Meyers product that I can't live without is the dish soap. I love all the scents but my absolute favorite is basil. It smells divine and almost make washing the dishes enjoyable! Works amazing too!
BEDROOMS
We have carpets in our bedrooms and unfortunately they are not the very nice type of carpets that you can get now-a-days. That means, we get a lot of dust on our furniture from the carpet fibers which forces me to dust every couple of days. After trying several products to dust our spaces, I finally came across the e-cloths specifically made for dusting. These cloths are amazing and make dusting a breeze.
Another must-have when cleaning my bedroom or any wood surface in my home is the Method Wood for Good Daily Cleaner. This stuff is amazing and gentle enough to use every day on wood surfaces.
BATHROOMS
The bathroom is by far my least favorite space to clean so I try to use products that make it quick and painless for me.
First, lets start with the toilet bowl. My favorite cleaning solution for the toilet bowl is the Method toilet bowl cleaner. It smells amazing and leaves our toilet bowls sparkling clean. Whenever our toilets require a little more elbow grease, I simply put one cup of vinegar and one cup of baking soda in the toilet bowl and use a toilet bowl brush to scrub the dirt and grime away. You will be amazed at how clean your toilet will be!
One of the areas that I dislike the most about cleaning the bathroom is the shower. I always end up getting water everywhere and make even more of a mess than I started out with. So in order to make sure that I maintain my shower clean, I spray the Method Shower Spray after every use. This stuff not only smells amazing but keeps our shower looking nice and clean.
Lastly, lets talk about those glass shower doors. Yes they are pretty and can add so much style to a bathroom but they are a pain to keep clean. Especially when you have super hard water like we do here in Florida. Apart from investing in a water softener, the best way to keep those shower doors grime free is by using a squeegee after every time you use the shower.
Laundry Room
Laundry has never been so easy with so many amazing products out there and one of my favorites it the Seventh Generation Chlorine-Free Bleach. This stuff works great and doesn't have that strong bleach smell that makes my skin itch. Add that along with my favorite Method Laundry soap and your clothes will come out smelling delicious and looking bright! This is my absolute favorite combination and my secret to keeping my whites white!
In my dryers you will always find dryer balls. These things are amazing and keep all my clothes wrinkle free while reducing static. I love that they are reusable and not harmful to the environment which is a win in my book!
