New Years Tablescape

Christmas has now come and gone and just when you thought all of the entertaining and parties are over, New Years is now here.  I am having family and friends over for New Years so I wanted to d something festive and fun for my New Years tablescape.

Using decor items already in my home, I created this mirrored tablescape.  I started by placing a mirror on the table.  This mirror actually came from the half bath.  It is the typical builder grade mirror that builders install without a frame.  My husband and I removed it as soon as we moved in but I could never bring my self to get rid of it because I always felt that I could reuse it.

I love how it reflects light up, especially when the chandelier is on.  I then added several silver ornaments and hung them from the chandelier with fishing line at different lengths.  Glitter, matte, shiny silver ornaments to give the eye some visual interest.  Right below, I placed my Gold Imari bowl that I have filled with leftover ornaments in the red, gold, and silver colors flanked by two crystal candle holders with two blue pillar candles.

I kept the center piece simple, since there was a lot already going on with the mirror and the hanging silver ornaments. I love how it turned out!

I then decided to use our blue china set that we typically use daily. I absolutely love this set of plates from Better Homes and Gardens that I got from Walmart.  They are amazingly beautiful and durable. To add a New Years touch, I placed a Happy New Year headband around each bowl and inside, I placed the copper and silver pine cones that I DIY'd.

I just loved how it turned out using only decor items that I already had in the house! Now we are ready to party and bring in the New Year in style!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to share our home adventures with you and the lovely feedback we have received.  I cannot wait to share with you what is in store for Dapper House Designs in the next year!

I hope that everyone has a safe and happy New Year!  See you next year!

Ever since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with interior decorating and using my hands to create beautiful things to incorporate in my space.

I believe that making your house a home shouldn’t be a difficult or expensive but exciting and most of all fun! It isn’t about the size or location of your home but about being able to create a space that is yours to fit your budget without sacrificing style.

Having recently purchased our first home, we’ve been busy creating a space that is ours as we blend my and my husband’s styles together. Explore the site to see what we have accomplished!
