Bright and Cheery Mother’s Day Brunch Tablescape

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to put together a cute yet elegant table setting. This year, celebrating Mother’s Day is extra special for us because I finally get to celebrate the day with my mom. My parents recently relocated from Boston to sunny Florida and it feels so good to have them close! I love seeing them interact with my baby boy and he loves going to grandma and grandpa’s house in where he can do no wrong… :/ lol.

I decided to keep the color scheme very cheerful and bright and to use yellow as my main color as it is my mom’s favorite color.  There is something about the color yellow that brings so much life into a space, don’t you think? I love how the simple white china looks against the yellow placemats, which I purchased at World Market years ago along with the matching napkins.

In order to break up the yellow and add a little bit more color, I added five little bottles with a sprig of greenery in each as a center piece that I purchased at Michael's earlier this spring. It is simple, yet so cheery!

I brought in some fresh flowers to break up the white in the china and provide some decor for the place cards.  I love decorating with fresh flowers because it instantly makes a simple decor a little more elegant.

And lastly, I added a few finishing touches with my china accessories.  I cannot wait to celebrate my mom this year!

Leave me a comment below and let me know what you do to celebrate that special woman in your life? I’d love to know!
