Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We’ve been in back-to-school mode over here as my little on started kindergarten. Needless to say, I’m an emotional mess. Lol. But excited for what this new chapter holds for my little guy!

Now that I have a little more time on my hands with one kiddo in school, I’m back to focusing on projects around our home. Today, I’m starting with our entryway - it’s definitely a spot that I’ve neglected in the past as I focused on tackling our great room spaces.

I’m ready to tackle this space now because I feel that we’ve finally narrowed down our style - Modern Traditional. The entryway is your one opportunity to set the tone of your home as you welcome in your family and friends. The first impression of your home happens right in the entryway and our current entry space screamed “I’m boring!”

Here’s what the space currently looks like:

Two years ago, I began experimenting with painting the ceiling in this space and ended up not liking my color choice. It’s been half painted ever since as I just couldn’t make up my mind. The problem was, I didn’t really have a plan. But as the rest of our home started to come together and we narrowed down or design style, it’s become a lot easier to really come up with a plan that we could execute for this space.

Using a mixture of furniture and decor that I already owned while investing in more modern pieces that will help bring the whole design together, I’ve come up with a plan that I can’t wait to execute!
