I'm so super excited about today's post because this is a project that we've been working on for months. Alongside converting the screened-in back porch into a four season room, we've have also been busy converting our old playroom/guest room/office into a nursery that is fit for our princess who is due to arrive any day now!

Well, I made it! I'm a day late posting this but I made it! 5 days before my due date and I was able to refresh our kids bathroom before our little girl arrives. Believe me there were times that I had my doubts that I would be able to finish, but I'm so pleased with the result.

With our baby girl arriving any day now, I wanted to make sure that the hubby and I at least take some time with each other on this special month to celebrate us and our growing family. So for this Valentine's day, I'm setting a romantic table setting that will hopefully give my hubby and I a few minutes to reconnect and spend some time together eating a warm meal.

This week for the $100 Room Challenge, I've decided to focus on those small projects that can take a bathroom transformation from drab to fab! Read on to see everything that I was able to accomplish this week and check out some of these easy updates that anyone can do to update your own space!

Do you find it hard to decorate your home after taking down all of the Christmas decor?

I always find that once Thanksgiving has come and gone, I'm itching to take out all of my Christmas decorations and start filling my home with holiday cheer. With that same type of enthusiasm, I'm ready to take it all down once the new year rolls along. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE decorating for Christmas, even more so that I have kids. But I also love the feeling of a refresh after I put all of the holiday decor away.

It's week three since I started refreshing our kids bathroom to accommodate a new little member of our family, our baby girl is due any day now. I'm quickly working away trying to get this bathroom ready in time before her arrival! This week, I'm focusing on all things accessories and organization to ensure that I have a functional space for my kids and overnight guests.

Now that the holiday season has passed, I'm turning my focus on deep cleaning my home. Two little ones and daily quarantine life mean that we’ve been living hard in this house. I've had to developed a plan to quickly clean my home and KEEP it clean.

When we first moved into our home, every ceiling light fixture in the house was a boob light. In every room, hallway, and bathroom, a boob light had been installed. You know the one, the dreaded boob light. They are super cheap and have been around for years but that sure doesn't make them pretty!

Are you an early holiday shopper or are you a last minute shopper? I used to be a last minute shopper and it used to stress me out so much! I would try to budget and it always felt that I blew my budget out of the water because I was pressed for time rather than looking for a good deal. A few years ago, I decided to take action.

I've been keeping myself busy, organizing 6 out of the 8 closets in our home in just under a month. And I even tackled our pantry which if you followed my stories on Instagram (@housebythepreserve) you know it was no easy feat! With all the closet organizing that I've been doing, I've gotten quite good at tackling the space quickly and efficiently.
